Private Athens Food Tour: 6 or 10 Tastings, Just Your Group
A private tour: the guide has nobody else to look after, so the pace and the route bend to whoever booked it. Three hours, and either six or ten tastings depending on the option chosen.
The stops are not fixed by a script. The guide picks them, and they change with the season and with what the guide rates that week. Savoury, sweet, and local drinks among them, all in places that sell to Athenians rather than to coaches.
Between the food there is the city: the walk takes in Iroon Square in Psirri and Stoa Avissinias, the covered arcade off the flea market, and the guide talks about them on the way past. Monuments are seen from outside, and no entry tickets are included.
The company runs the same format in cities across the world, pays its guides a set fee, buys only local produce and works carbon-neutral as a certified B Corp.
Up to eight people, in Greek or English. Vegetarian alternatives and other dietary needs are handled if the host is told in advance.
