Thai Cooking Class with a Tuk Tuk Ride to the Big Market
The instructor is the third generation of a family that cooks for a living, has worked with a Michelin-starred restaurant, and has developed recipes with someone who holds the Master Chef Thailand title. That is unusual for a class at this price.
The session starts with a ride out to the largest fresh market in the city, where the ingredients are bought and explained. Transport is included both ways.
Then four traditional Thai dishes. Each one is cooked and then eaten before the next begins, rather than everything queued up for the end, which changes what you notice about each.
The teaching sits between the traditional and the practical: what a Thai kitchen has always done, taught in a way that works in a kitchen that has none of it.
Three and a half hours, in Thai or English, up to six people. Bottled water and all equipment are included. If you arrive more than ten minutes after the meeting time the market visit is skipped and you go straight to the school. Note that this booking is non-refundable.
