Three Pasta Shapes and Gelato, or Lasagna with the Market
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
FlorenceTwo classes, and you book one or the other rather than both.
The pasta and gelato class runs three hours. Three shapes of fresh pasta made by hand, each paired with a sauce that follows the season, then everything eaten with a gelato or sorbet tasting and unlimited wine. It is the shorter and the cheaper option, and the one to take if the pasta is the point.
The lasagna and market class runs five. It starts in the Central Market with the chefs, tasting local products and looking at what is on the stalls, and then builds a lasagna from the beginning: fresh sheets of pasta, a Bolognese ragù, a béchamel. Nothing arrives ready-made. Tiramisù follows.
Both include the ingredients, an apron, the utensils and a chef working alongside you, and both send you home with a digital recipe booklet and a graduation certificate. Wine for adults, soft drinks for children.
Up to fifteen people, in English. Vegetarians are welcome with notice. Not suitable for coeliacs, no pets, and under-eighteens need an adult with them.
The Central Market closes on Sundays, so the market half of the longer class does not run then.

Guests prepare fresh pasta dough, shape 3 types of pasta and pair them with seasonal sauces, then taste artisanal gelato or sorbet and sit down to the meal they made, with unlimited wine. Lasagna, Tiramisu & Market Tour: a 5-hour class. It opens with a visit to the Central Market with the chefs and a tasting of local products, then guests prepare Nonna's lasagna with fresh pasta, Bolognese ragù and béchamel, plus tiramisu.
