Two Hours In, the Meal Arrives: A Marrakech Home Kitchen
The shape of this one is stated in advance, which is unusually helpful: the class starts at the booked time, you cook for about two hours, and the meal comes to the table after that. So a lunch slot means eating in the early afternoon and a dinner slot means eating in the evening, and you can plan the rest of the day round it.
The rest is a home kitchen in Marrakech. Tagine, fresh Moroccan salads and a dessert, all hands on, with the traditions behind them explained as you go rather than recited at the start.
Twelve people at most, which keeps it a kitchen rather than a classroom.
You leave with the recipes and with spice tips, which are the part that actually transfers.
No experience needed.
Three hours, in English, French or Arabic, with bottled water, Moroccan pastry, tea or coffee, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
Service animals allowed.

Cooking class in a Marrakech home kitchen
A hands-on class in a Marrakech home kitchen. Guests build a tagine layer by layer, roll couscous by hand the traditional way and make the simple salads that open a Moroccan meal. The recipes are family ones, passed down through generations and taught by doing. While the pots simmer, the hosts talk about why each spice is used and about hospitality in Morocco. When the cooking is done, everyone sits down to eat the meal they made, with mint tea. No kitchen experience is needed. Tell the hosts about allergies or dietary restrictions beforehand and the menu is adapted.
